Advent 2018 - Ruth

The Book of Ruth parallels all of our journeys and struggles: from plenty to want; from community to loneliness; from despair to hope and ultimately to life. Ultimately this is a story that walks us from "Hopeless Withoutness" to "Redeeming Withness", which is a beautiful preview of the Advent of Jesus, the Great Immanuel, "God With Us."

Proverbs

The Book of Proverbs  - a book that invites us to relationally know the very heart of the King of Wisdom who has come to us in the person of Jesus to BE wisdom in the flesh. We will delve into very practical gospel applications on topics like money, relationships, work and words, but not in a “fortune cookie” way where we look up a verse to tell us what to do and not do. Rather, Proverbs is a “low and slow” book that draws us into marinating on the nature of God, the world and ourselves to guide us down every path life brings.
