Rebuilding with Hope

Passage: Joel 2:25-26

Speaker: Brian Land

Series: Ezra/Nehemiah - Rebuilding from Rubble

Category: Grace Brevard

Keywords: hope, satisfied

THEMES: We are called and equipped to pursue the rebuilding of our hearts and lives. But it was our brokenness that got us here in the first place, so it won’t be our broken efforts to get us out. Therefore the Lord has given us a savior and sanctifier who has and will perfectly knit us back together into the image of God. Because of this we can begin to courageously and sacrificially live out of our original and renewed image in this life as we look forward to the life where all brokenness will be a distant memory.

Joel 2:25-26 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.

Haggai 2
Fear not. 6 For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. 7 And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. 9 The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”
