Free Value

Passage: Galatians 1:10-24

Speaker: Brian Land

Series: Galatians

Category: Grace Brevard

Keywords: hope, identity, security

I am perpetually insecure, trying to create and maintain my personal-value through what I do and don’t do and, most especially, what I think you think about me. Given this, we all give enormous power to all those fickle, flawed and insecure people around us, who are doing the same in return. The Gospel frees us from this oppressive blackhole of value-seeking by re-creating us complete, loved and valuable based upon Jesus and his accomplishments, not ours. Jesus finds us in our own self-obsessive prisons and exchanges values with us, taking our empty-chasm status while giving us his status of wholeness, completeness and satisfaction.
