Ephesians - Rooted Strength

Passage: Ephesians 3:17-19

Speaker: Brian Land

Series: Ephesians

Category: Grace Brevard

Keywords: love, strength, secure, rooted

With Christ indwelling us, we are firmly established in him and his love - the rest of life is prayerfully learning how infinitely vast this establishing love is.

Ephesians 3
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Either recently or before, talk about a time your “foundation” has been shaken?

Dig through what you think it means to be “rooted” into something? Like what?

“Grounded” is also translated “established” - which do you like?

- what is this saying when combined with the parallel word “rooted”?

WHAT are we rooted into?

What does it mean to be TRULY loved? Why do we want that?

How are we supposed to “know the unknowable”?

What are the differences between KNOWING God’s love with head, feeling and will.

How do you normally experience/”know” God’s love for you?

Is “knowing” that Jesus died for you enough?

The result of this is to be filled with God’s fullness. How can we have His whole fullness?

What IS his fullness?

What impact does this have on us?
