Grace Brevard Schedule Updates

Good afternoon GraceBrevard Family.

What a week we are walking through. With information regarding the COVID-19 perpetually coming in, along with rules as well as advice on how to move forward, we will NOT be meeting physically all together this Sunday (our county won't allow "gatherings", which includes us).

But we WILL be meeting together as The Church!

We are going to live-stream a collaborative service with Grace Mills River Sunday morning with leaders from each church guiding us all to worship together our Risen Lord Jesus Christ.

I will send out details as soon as I can.

In the midst of all of this it is imperative that we be extremely wise and careful, but not fearful. We MUST protect the more vulnerable in our midst and take appropriate precautions while also being a beacon of Shalom and Hope.

I also want to twist my fleshly narrative around. Throughout history The Church and The Gospel has found a shocking OPPORTUNITY during painful and uncertain times to live out the Hope We Have to a watching world. This is EXACTLY where the Gospel matters the most. We have a King that has not lost any control, nor is He wavering in his care and love for his creation, including us. As we talked about last Sunday, we are inundated with trials that are physical, mental and spiritual in nature, and the ONE TRUE weapon we have is TRUTH...consummating in Jesus Himself who IS THE TRUTH.

Brothers and Sisters, we have an awesome opportunity right now to grow in the Gospel together, to TRULY ENJOY JESUS as all around us has just been revealed to not be able to hold the weight of our loves, lives and hopes. He CAN, DOES and WILL hold us. And when we each begin to succumb to the enemy's lies that all is lost and out of control, we can reach out to God and to one another to be reminded of the Truth, and be given the strength to "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them (our enemies, including financial and medical problems), for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deut 31:6)

When appropriate we will also invite each other to practically EXPRESS the Gospel outside of us. I imagine that organizations like SharingHouse and The Haven will have extra needs in the coming seasons. We will coordinate ways we can serve them as they serve the more vulnerable.

Our church's foundation has not changed!

Grace Brevard still and always will exist to
ENJOY and EXPRESS the Freeing Love of Jesus.

And it would seem that THE LORD has brought us together for SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
